Brie turned 2 today.... Happy Birthday to my beautiful baby Brie.

I can't help but call her baby brie LOL anyway she had a great day and is sound asleep in bed :o)

{Scrapbooking Champion & Baby Show Winner}

Our local show is on this weekend and I just thought you all might like to know that I won the BIG RIBBON..... I am the champion scrapbooker for 2008. Now yes this is exciting BUT at 2pm I entered Brie into the baby competition her section was 6 months to under 2years so she only just scrapped in by 10 days and she won the Baby Show. I am so proud of her.... I actually think I was more excited about Brie getting her first trophy and ribbon :o)

Congratulations to all of the other winners from the scrapbooking, everyone is just so talented and it was great to look at everyone's work on display. Narelle and Monique do a beautiful job displaying our special talents.

{Happy Birthday to my Gorgeous Miss Mia}

My gorgeous little Mia turned 4 today and we have just had the best day. We woke up and she opened her presents and was pretty excited about them all even though she knew what she was getting as she picked them out!! We then had breaky and then she had a few birthday phonecalls from family, at 11 we headed to the park for birthday cake with a few friends and their kids. As I am the most unorganised person I didn't think to organise her party before we went on hols.

We then went out to lunch came home and played totem tennis and used the roller skates.... I can see there is going to be so many stacks before she learns to use them. We went to Grandma and Grandads for dinner. Mia told me she wanted Party Pies so she was easily pleased especially when Grandma puts candles in them :o) We came home about 8 as Brie had fallen asleep luckily I had already bathed them and Mia hopped into bed watch Curious George on dvd and I layed down and gave her a cuddle and said did you have a great birthday Mia and she said I love you mum I had a great day!!! Tomorrow when I wake up we can go to the park again and I can play with (a few of her friends names were mentioned) and I said no I have to go to work and she said well when you get home we can go to the park and I can play with ( a few more different names were mentioned). LMAO and then she went to sleep. She is just so cute.

{Scrapbook Creations}

Today the best happy mail arrived my first published LO in print, how good are scrapbook creations they send a copy of the magazine back with your LO... I have just scanned the mag so it is a bit crooked and not very clear but it is the top one. The pic is quite washed out but it is still exciting to have my first LO published, next month I will be in the real life real stories section of Scrapbooking Memories and have another LO being published in Scrapbook Creations and then I have a break and I will be in the next one as well.

I have about 2500 photos to sort through from the last 3 weeks I have had so much fun taking photos of weddings and holidays even if I learnt a valuable lesson at Kristals about the memory card being easily wiped...... long story I have never been so sick in my life instant diarrhoea I have never ever experienced anything like it, but all I can say is thank god for recovery programs.

I will start sharing photos as soon as I sort through them. I am having huge withdrawals at the moment not having scrapped for nearly 3.5 half weeks so I am busting to get back to it and I will have heaps of inspiration this weekend as Forever Always are having there Cybercrop.

Home for a day then off again!!!!

Had an awesome holiday I have about a 1000 photos to go through and edit them.

LOL I am off to Cowra today to drop the kids off at my mums so I can go to a wedding in Molong on Saturday. Lets hope I don't have any dramas with the photos this time :lol: The girls are so sick of being in the car after Salt drove all the way home from Burleigh Heads on Wed, We didn't have a great start to our trip we had an accident on the hwy heading to Beau desert about 8am in the morning.... Luckily no one was hurt, well the cars were but we were still able to drive home which made hubby happy as he left for Darwin last night and it would have been major dramas if he had of missed his annual fishing trip in DARWIN!!!! Back to the accident we were driving in the rain and the 2 cars in front of us were slowing down for some reason that Salt couldn't see I was in the backseat as Brie had just vomited from the hills.... so I wasn't any help. Next thing he knew the car in front of him slammed on the breaks to miss the kangaroo that had slipped on the road in front of her and she didn't want to hit it ? Why you would slam on you breaks in the rain on a busy highway if she had of just hit it we wouldn't of hit her :evil: So anyway Salt was only going about 70ks when he put his breaks on but the car slid that far and smashed into the back of hers. He said he couldn't go round her as he would have had a head on with cars coming at us and if he had gone the other way he would have rolled the car on its side. Both the girls hit there head on the dvd players in the car and were crying I settled them down and got out to see the damage. The poor girl was so upset saying it was her fault and she had been beeping her horn at the kangaroo cause she didn't want to hit it know wonder the kangaroo slipped on the road she would have scared it..... Anyway to make things worse it is our fault and we have to pay the excess to get the car fixed even though she was nearly at a full stop in the middle of the highway. Anyway no one was hurt and both cars were still drivable we are just very lucky that we didn't have a truck coming behind us as he would of not been able to stop and it would have been a lot worse.

{A quiet Easter}

Well we have had a lovely quiet easter this long weekend, The easter bunny was a bit silly this year and let all of the girls easter eggs melt in the car so although they didn't loose there shape thanks to the packaging the chocolate had all separated and crumbly... They ate a bit of it but most of it just got crumbled into the carpet left for me to vacuum up. Mia had an awesome time with her treasure hunt, the nice little easter bunny left a map so she could see where he had hidden the easter eggs. I wasn't quick enough to capture the expression on her face when she found them but it was priceless.

Brie woke up just in time to have her photo taken too, I was surprised that she was happy to let me take it after just waking up.

I tried to scrap all weekend but absolutely nothing was working for me this is about the only one I am happy with, and I had 2 goes at it.. Maybe my mojo went on hols early......

Well it is going to be extra quiet on my blog for a couple of weeks as we are going on holidays and I am sending my puter in for a service it is that slow and I think it has a cold..... LMAO.

I am really looking forward to our holiday, especially Kristals wedding the girls are little flower girls and there dresses are just beautiful. I will be taking the photos so lets hope they turn out great :o)

So I will be back in a few weeks with I am sure lots and lots of photos of our holiday.

I hope you have all had a great easter and eaten huge amounts of chocolate....:o)

{Tired}

Poor little Mia went to bed last night at 7 and is still asleep it is nearly 9.30, I think the last few days have really caught up with her :o( Brie as well went to bed at 7 and woke up just after 8 so my poor little girls are so tired.... They are still both getting temps as well and now have yucky coughs, I hope it disappears before we go on our big holiday next Thursday.

The other day we went out to the river so Salt could try and catch a fish.... I took my camera and got some photos of Mia posing for me she is such a good little poser I love it, all was well and good until she was splashing in the water and half fell in!!! as you can see from the photos. We came home and had a nice warm bath then :o)

I hope everyone has a nice Easter, Salt starts work on Friday so lucky him (NOT) gets to work all over Easter :o((((( anyway he was supposed to work day shift and now he is working nights so that is better for us anyway.... I get more scrapping done when he is on N/S.

OMG I had the worst night last night, Mia woke up just before 2am finding it really hard to breathe I was so scared and she was getting really upset so I rang the hospital and they told me to bring her up. So we headed up to the hospital and they took her temp and all that stuff and rang our doctor to come up and see her. Dr Chan came up and put her on a drip for dehydration and gave her a needle to help her breathe and then put her on the nebauliser..... for the croup, the poor little thing nearly screamed the hospital down when they took the drip out. The whole time she was telling me it was hurting and I was so sad for her.... I am so glad you can reason with a nearly 4 year old as Brie would have just gone off. So we came home about 3.30.... and Mia pretty much went to sleep (unlike her mother) I think I dosed off about 5am and then I woke up about 8.30 Mia and I got out of bed as she had preschool on and she still wanted to go so I got up and made her lunch and Brie was still lying in my bed burning up.... I didn't want to give her any more nurophen as she had been having it at least every 5 hrs for the last 2 days. So by now it was 9am and I rang the doctors to get an appointment for her and the receptionist said the earliest appoint would be 11.45 so I said don't worry about it and rang the hosp to see what time Dr Chan did his rounds there as I knew he did them in the mornings. Dr Chan was there and the nurse said to bring Brie up if I was worried about her so I dressed her in bed and put her in the car, dropped Mia at preschool and headed to the hospital.... poor Brie still had not moved I knew she was pretty sick she even fell asleep while we being looked after. Brie had a very high temp but wasn't dehydrated like Mia so Dr Chan gave her a needle to help her breathe and told me she has asthma, so we fought with her to give her the nebauliser and then went to the chemist for all the drugs she needed. $130 later I walked out of the chemist! She won't take the antibiotics just spits them back out at me, but she is taking the the Ventolin and the seretide. She is walking around the house like she has a mouth full of drink ready to spit on someone..... the dribble is just falling out of her I am guessing it is from the Ventolin. Right now they are that hyped up on med I don't think they are every going to go to sleep.

Last night I was in a very scrappy mood I did 4 LO's but I can only share this one....

The girls were in a splashy mood you should have seen them in the bath jumping about putting water all over the place.... they were having fun so that is the main thing :o)

I don't know if I have shared this photo or not but this is how the girls went to sleep a few weeks ago in my bed they were so snuggled up it was just so cute.

I sent my Dyson away last week as the cord wouldn't retract, I am so happy with there service they cleaned my vacumm so it smelt like new and replaced the filter all under warranty :o) So after not having a vacumm for about 8 days this is what come out of our carpet in the dinning room where we spend most of our time and it isn't a very big room either just sooooo gross....

Brie asleep in her cot I went in to check on her and she just looked so cute with the overalls on and bum up in the air.....

Well I best get myself organised we have Ebony's 4th birthday party to go to this morning and a baby shower for Amanda this afternoon.

{Sunday}

Well we have had a busy week this week, I was glad to see the weekend as I new we didn't have anything on!

I haven't done an ounce of scrapping so as soon as I get off the computer I am going to clean up my scrap room and do some creating :o)

Salts dad is coming over for dinner tonight we are having Pumpkin Soup, Bill's Sausages and I am still undecided about desert so maybe we will just have ice cream....

We went to the wiggles in Dubbo on Friday and the girls had a lovely time, Hi 5 are coming on the 24th April so we will be going to that as well.

{Photos and a few LO's}

This weekend I hosted my first Cyber Crop over at Forever Always, my theme was scrapjacked. There are some awesome LO's in the gallery it is going to be so hard to judge this month.

Challenge 1 was to jack a LO that I had chosen of Dee Heath's I just love her work and as she is the brains behind the blog Aussie Scrap Jack we thought why not Jack her for challenge 1.

Challenge 2 was to pick someone from our Design Team and Jack one of your favourite LO's that they have in the gallery. I chose Sonia's Possum Alarm page as I love the clock overlay she had used.

Challenge 3 was a Sketch by Louise Nelson and I just love it I think it might be my fav page....



I was on a scrapping roll so I completed this months 123 challenge we had to use white, orange and black colour theme, a one word title and ribbon. Nice and easy :o)


and the last 2 LO's are from our WORD Inspiration Challenges that we have every week at FA, your name goes into the hat at the end of the month and you can win a $5 voucher. The last 2 words were Retreat and Time.

Brie looks so cute in Mia's elephant costume she brought it out and wanted me to put it on her and then had to get the dancing shoes on as well.

This is my LO for this months Scrapjack that I did last night :o)

Today when I dropped Mia off at pre-school I was chatting to her teacher and she said I have been meaning to tell you what a lovely little girl Mia is, she said she is just gorgeous and such a lovely little girl to have a preschool.... WOW I was so happy to hear that, it just made my day :o) I have decided that Mia is going to go to preschool 2 days a week now I hope Brie doesn't get to bored not having her about.

Well I have a bit of DT work that I need to get finished so I must go scrap :o)

{I am a Scrapjack Winner}

How exciting I am one of the lucky 4 winners over on the Scrapjack Blog. Last month we had to jack Kim Archers LO and it was an awesome LO to Jack.... Oh and have I said I am so excited......

We had a busy day today with Dancing and Bush Mobile. I was watching Mia today being sort-of bossed around by the other kids, and it's funny because 18months ago I would have said she wouldn't have been the sort of kid to take shit from anyone but I have noticed that she just takes it and walks away or either comes over to me upset saying they won't share with her, which is probably a good thing. She is very laid back and easy going like her dad so that must be where she gets it from. I am sure things will change. Well I hope they do!!

{Forever Always Retreat # 8}

Firstly a HUGE HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY GORGEOUS FRIEND KRISTY.... I hope you have had an awesome day. Big Hugs I am just about to ring you I hope your home from work :o)

Last Wednesday I left for my second Forever Always retreat. Last time Leah and Briony came with me so I was a little nervous going all by myself. It was an awesome retreat I had a great time and got lots done.
I brought home this Sonia Bowers Original, we were in a photo swap and this is what Sonia created it is just beautiful and I love it thanks Sonia :o)


I just love this LO I have used kindy glitz on the swirls it doesn't really show up in the photo but it looks awesome in real life.....





I was also lucky enough to get a Louise Nelson Original... Lou knows how much I love this LO it is just gorgeous, thank you so much Lou.... I was showing Salt all of the LO's today and when I got to this one he said who did that one?

This is another of my favourite's from the retreat I think I did a pretty good job with writing the "as time goes by" Heidi Swapp style...

This LO is for a current RAK challenge in the FA forum we were only aloud to use 2 colours, material, at least 3 photos and stitching I had so much fun with this one.

and another Fav a LO of Kay, I hope you like this one Kay :o) It has a verse on the photo about being a grandma.

If it wasn't for Kay I wouldn't be able to go on these retreats..... I missed the girls so much I really don't know if I am going to be able to go on one of these again. I guess if you ask me that in a few months I am sure the answer will be....

A big thank you to Sonia, Brian, Bianca, Gran and Di for doing an awesome job... after arriving early and seeing what goes into setting up everything it is a huge effort by everyone, LMAO I am glad Brian said he would unpack the 2 tonne truck.
